Tamandua
(Southern | Tamandua Tetradactyla, Northern | Tamandua Mexicana)
Habitat/Range
Forests and grasslands of Central and South America
Tamanduas are miniature anteaters. They are arboreal, which means they spend most of their time in trees. Their prehensile tails can grasp onto branches, helping them maintain balance as they climb high above the ground. Tamanduas have sticky tongues that are nearly 16 inches long, and are perfect bug catchers!
You can meet Tiffany and her sister Tasha during animal meet & greets or in their new home at Oasis Outpost.
