Red Ruffed Lemurs are some of the largest primates found on Madagascar and live in the rainforests to the northeast of the island. Their soft, thick fur is red and black in color, but a few have been known to have white or pink patches. This species is mainly a fruit-eater and is critically endangered because of illegal logging.
