Get ready to make a splash with a purpose! On Thursday, June 26, Wild Adventures is joining aquatic facilities from around the world for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL), a worldwide event aimed at teaching vital water safety skills to children and families, and you’re invited!

What is the World’s Largest Swim Lesson?
The World’s Largest Swim Lesson is a global movement spanning over 20 countries, all working together for one goal: teaching kids and families how to stay safe in and around water. It’s a 30-minute, energy-filled, interactive swim lesson taking place in parks, pools, and waterparks everywhere, including right here at Catchawave Bay.

Whether you’re a parent of a new swimmer or just want to sharpen your own skills, this lesson is the perfect chance to learn how to swim safe, just in time for the summer.

A Word From Us
Here’s a quick stat that might surprise you: the days surrounding July 4th are among the most dangerous for accidental drownings in the U.S. That’s why this event is held now—when learning these skills is more important than ever.

As Kamden Knighten, our Entertainment and Seasonal Events Manager, puts it:

“The World’s Largest Swim Lesson is important because it gives people of all ages—kids and adults alike—the tools needed to swim and stay safe in the water. Parks and communities around the world take part in teaching these lessons, to build awareness on water safety and drowning prevention. This event not only teaches valuable skills but also creates a safer summer for all.”
