Spider monkeys are natural climbers. They love to move, explore, and stay active. Their new habitat gives them more vertical space, more enrichment opportunities, and more room to play. 

The new exhibit is located right across from their previous habitat in Oasis Outpost, so you won’t have to go far to see them. And trust us, they’re going to love it.

Spider monkeys are highly social and incredibly agile. In the wild, they travel through the treetops using their long limbs and prehensile tails to swing, climb, and forage. A larger habitat allows Mambo and Jojo to move the way they’re naturally designed to move. More climbing structures and vertical space encourage exercise, exploration, and enrichment behaviors that are essential to their wellbeing.

For guests, that means more opportunities to see them active, curious, and engaged. It turns a quick stop into a learning moment. Kids can observe how spider monkeys use their tails almost like a fifth hand. Families can watch how they interact with one another. It's a chance for you to connect with wildlife in a meaningful way.
