Wild Adventures opened its doors as a theme park in 1996, and changed the South Georgia entertainment scene. The park truly made its mark just two years later in 1998, as this was the year that Boomerang made its debut. This thrilling coaster takes you upside-down six times, and has been a staple for nearby thrill seekers ever since its opening!
Stats:
- Height: 116.5 ft
- Speed: 47 mph
- Length: 935 ft
- Fun fact: Did you know Boomerang used to sport bright yellow tracks with green supports? It was a bold look! But in 2024, we decided it was time for a little refresh. Now, Boomerang is turning heads with sleek blue tracks and vibrant orange supports!
Just one year after Boomerang’s debut, the park would add another thrilling coaster! This would be the park’s longest coaster: Twisted Typhoon. This suspended coaster takes you on an exciting journey upside-down and sideways for just over a minute and a half, with a total of five inversions!
Stats:
- Height: 109.3 ft
- Speed: 49.7 mph
- Length: 2,260.5 ft
- Fun fact: This coaster was originally named Hangman and rocked orange tracks with tan supports. But when the 2012 season rolled in, it got a complete makeover with a brand-new name: Twisted Typhoon! Along with a bold new look featuring a striking green and blue color scheme!
After two years of coaster additions, the dawn of a new millennium saw yet another coaster! This time, a coaster was added that the whole family could enjoy. This was none other than Outpost Express!

2000 not only saw the addition of Outpost Express, but also another coaster! This family-friendly coaster is a step up from Outpost Express, with hairpin turns and dips! We’re talking about none other than Marsh Mayhem!

- Fun fact: This coaster’s had quite the identity journey! It originally debuted as Bug Out, rocking pink tracks and yellow supports. In 2010, we switched things up and renamed it to Go Bananas! but kept its colorful look. Then came 2023, when it got a total refresh with bold green tracks, blue supports, and the name we all know and love today!
In 2003, Wild Adventures decided it was time to add yet another coaster that could provide a fun time for the family. This one takes riders near the Alapaha Trail in search of creatures that reside in the swamp. It’s time to take a ride on... Swamp Thing!

- Length: 1,122 ft

When Wild Adventures added Discovery Outpost in 2019, another coaster came along! This children’s roller coaster provides a great time for young children looking to ride their first coaster. They’ll be able to conquer their fear on Swampwater Snake!
