The LumiNight Legends Pumpkin Gallery features nearly 200 pumpkins hand-carved by artist Jim Morey. You can see the glowing collection during Great Pumpkin LumiNights powered by Georgia Power at Wild Adventures Theme Park.

The event runs on select days from September 26 through November 1, 2026, in Valdosta, Georgia. The gallery is open each event day and is included with park admission and eligible Season Passes.

What Is the LumiNight Legends Pumpkin Gallery?

The LumiNight Legends Pumpkin Gallery is a walk-through display filled with detailed pumpkin art. The collection includes:

  • Famous faces

  • Favorite characters

  • Georgia and Florida landmarks

  • Athletes and entertainers

  • Members of the Wild Adventures animal family

  • Other people, places and animals you may know

Part of the fun is seeing how many you can name before you read the signs!

The collection has grown over time. Even if you have seen it before, you may spot a face or detail you missed on your last visit.

The Man Behind the Pumpkins: Jim Morey

Jim Morey is a pumpkin artist from Huntington Beach, California. He is known for carving faces that look like real people.

His work has been shown on TV and at festivals and attractions across the country. He has carved stars, athletes, news anchors, children and pets.

Every pumpkin in the LumiNight Legends Pumpkin Gallery was carved by hand. Morey starts with a photo. He then uses small cuts, lines and layers to build the image. Each choice changes the way light passes through the pumpkin. A deep cut lets more light shine through. A light cut makes a darker shadow. When the pumpkin is lit, all those small cuts form one clear picture.

Some carvings look more like glowing photos than pumpkins.

Are the Carved Pumpkins Real?

The gallery uses craft pumpkins instead of fresh pumpkins. This lets the art last longer. The pumpkins can return each year, and new carvings can join the collection. The pumpkins may not be fresh, but each design still takes skill and time. Every line, light area and shadow is carved into the surface by hand.
