Military Free at Wild Adventures’ Celebrate America Festival

Two-Week Event Features Concert, The Harlem Globetrotters and Fireworks

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Wild Adventures Theme Park is celebrating America’s Independence for two weeks by offering free admission for active and retired military, welcoming Christian rock band Newsboys, performances from the Harlem Globetrotters and a patriotic Fourth of July fireworks display during the Celebrate America Festival.

“At Wild Adventures, we feel it’s incredibly important to honor and recognize the men and women who have served our country,” said Jon Vigue, general manager. “We’re offering military free admission and discounted admission for their families to enjoy thrilling rides, Splash Island Waterpark, amazing performances and more.”

All active, retired, disabled and honorably discharged military will receive free admission during the Celebrate America Festival, now through July 9, with a valid military ID or DD-214 form. Guests in a military member’s party are eligible to receive $10 off single-day admission purchased at the park.

“More than just free admission, we are offering some great entertainment during our Celebrate America Festival this year, including Newsboys in concert, The Original Harlem Globetrotters’ Summer Skills Showcase, and, of course, no Independence Day celebration is complete without a Fireworks Spectacular on the Fourth of July,” said Vigue.

Wild Adventures will welcome the Newsboys on July 1. The platinum selling group have propelled countless hits up the charts since their early beginnings in Australia. Fans can look forward to hits including “We Believe,” “Born Again” and 2x Platinum-certified mega hit “God’s Not Dead.” The concert begins at 8 p.m. Reserved Seats and General Admission for the show are available at WildAdventures.com.

Guests can enjoy a patriotic fireworks display lighting up the sky on July 4. The display will be set to music and begin at 9 p.m

To close out the Celebrate America Festival, Wild Adventures is featuring performances from a legendary team that has been entertaining audiences since 1926.

“The Harlem Globetrotters are known far and wide for their ball-handling skills, fun teamwork and trick-shot mastery,” said Vigue. “Guests are guaranteed to be amazed and even laugh out loud during these performances.”

The Harlem Globetrotters will perform at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on July 7, 8 and 9 at the Wild Adventures LIVE! Amphitheater. The shows are included for free with park admission or a Season Pass. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
