The carpet python is a large snake that can grow up to 13 feet long and weigh up to 33 lbs. The coloring of a carpet python caries greatly, ranging from olive to black with white or cream and gold markings. The species if found throughout mainland Australia, with the exception of the the most arid parts of the continent.
