The Mute Swan is mainly white with black legs and feet. They tend to live in smaller groups and are very territorial when breeding. The male swan, known as a cob, frighten enemies with an angry sound and violent wing movements. The familiar pose with neck curved back and wings half raised, known as busking, is a threat display.
