Valdosta, GA – Wild Adventures Theme Park will add a whole new area of fun to Splash Island Water Park for the 2017 Season with the addition of Ohana Bay, a water-filled family oasis with seven new slides.
Five of the new slides in Ohana Bay are designed for smaller guests, and two slides will be more than 200 feet of twisting and turning fun reaching more than 26 feet into the sky. In addition to the new slides, Ohana Bay will have a surfing theme, more than 100 additional beach seats, bright colors and a playful splash area.
“Ohana is Hawaiian for family, so this will be the perfect place for families to come together and have fun,” General Manager Molly Deese said. “We can hardly wait for Ohana Bay to open next spring so we can welcome our guests to experience it firsthand.”
The first 500 guests into the park on Saturday, September 17 will receive a colorful gift to celebrate the announcement of Ohana Bay.
Guests can also enjoy a BOGO on park admission September 17 and 18 with the donation of a canned food item to benefit Second Harvest of South Georgia. In light of Hurricane Hermine, Wild Adventures is teaming up with Southeastern Credit Union and Second Harvest for a second weekend of food collection to help raise awareness of local hunger. For each $48 admission purchased and a canned food donation, guests receive a second regular admission free!
Ohana Bay fun is included with a 2017 Season Pass and the lowest prices are available now through October 30 with savings up to $35 off the regular price and include a free upgrade to Gold Pass. 2017 passes can be used immediately to enjoy the remainder of the 2016 season including Dinosaur Explore, Terror in the Wild and Kid-O-Ween as well as Days of Thanks and Wild Adventures Christmas.
