Sandhill Cranes

Sandhill Crane 

A fossil from the Miocene Epoch, some ten million years ago, was found to be structurally the same as the modern Sandhill Crane.  The Sandhill Crane stands 3-4 ft tall and can have a wingspan of over 5 ft.
